We will leave the hotels far behind as we head out through the picturesque villages and colourful houses before arriving at a local colmado in La Lisa, where the Dominicans buy their food, drinks, etc. Here we will change our transport to safari jeeps and you will soon see why ! Our journey will lead us up into the mountainous terrain of Montana Redonda where the scenery will simply take your breath away ! The panoramic view of the two lagoons below, the bay of Samana and the cordillera Oriental, are simply unforgettable. Enjoy a refreshing drink as you get your breath back from the lasting natural beauty before you. As we descend the heights you will be shown local coffee and chocolate plantations and the popular Dominican pastime of cock fighting. If you are feeling hungry our next stop at RANCHO LA CUEVA is sure to please as you enjoy a sumptuous buffet of langostines, shrimps, roast pork, rice and beans, salad, fruits and housemade sweats, all washed down with limonade, wine and coffee. In the giftshop Cigars and Paintings can be bought here and why not enter the cigar rolling competition where prizes can be won. Next stop is on the nearby beach. A horse ride can be enjoyed or simple relax and refresh yourself in the cool water in the sea of PLAYA LIMON and taste fresh coconut from the palms swaying above your head. All this and your day has not finished yet ! Motorised boats will arrive to take you on a slow cruise around the lagoon letting you soak in all of its natural beauty. Back to shore where our jeeps await to head down the traces to the buses, waiting for to take us back to the hotel.
